When visitors leave comments, we collect the data shown in the form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string (hash) from your email may be sent to the Gravatar service. See their policy here: Gravatar Privacy Policy. Once approved, your profile picture is visible publicly with your comment.

🖼️ Media

If you upload images, avoid including EXIF GPS location data. Visitors can download and extract location data from uploaded images.

If you leave a comment, you may opt-in to saving your name, email, and site in cookies for convenience. These last one year.

If you log in, we set cookies for login info (2 days) and display options (1 year). If “Remember Me” is chosen, login persists 2 weeks. Logout removes these cookies.

If you edit/publish an article, a cookie is saved (post ID) that expires in 1 day.
